Lage

Once you live here, you won’t want to leave. The manageable, little-known district attracts visitors with idyllic street names such as Schneeglöckchenstraße or Schwertlilienweg, reminiscent of the former gardening district. With only around 7,500 residents, Fasanerie is a relatively small district. The first residents were gardeners, some of whom still have their businesses in the middle of the district today. The first house once stood next to the Fasanerie railway crossing. Slightly hidden on Borsigstraße, you can admire the last of these traditional old gardeners’ houses still in existence. Along the villa colony on Blütenanger with its beautiful houses, it becomes clear why this part of the city is so popular. The district can even boast the model housing estate “Am Schnepfenweg”, built almost entirely from ecological materials. Living in Fasanerie combines all the advantages of city life and extensive nature. Here you will find relaxation and a wide range of leisure activities right on your doorstep, for example at the idyllic Fasaneriesee.
